Tina Song

Bachelor of Health Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine (UTS)                                                              Certificate in Traditional Chinese Medicine (Beijing)

Certificate in Japanese Acupuncture Manaka Protocols (Sydney)

Tina has spent many years cultivating her skills and refining the delicate practice of Oriental Medicine. She spent four years completing her Health Science degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) at the University of Technology Sydney where she was educated in acupuncture, TCM and Western biomedical sciences. She continued her training with an internship at the China Japan Friendship Hospital in Beijing. It was here she witnessed the integration of modern medicine and ancient Oriental medicine in practice. This inspiring sight has influenced her style of practice which is able to work in close conjunction with other treatments and therapies.

Tina is committed to educating and motivating her clients to restore health and achieve their goals, making the process enjoyable and enlightening. She continues to expand on her skills through regular seminars and research. Whilst practicing at The Acupuncture IVF Support Clinic in Sydney she was involved in IVF research being led by Dr Caroline Smith at The University Of Western Sydney. In 2013 Tina was involved in research relating to the use of acupuncture in menopause being run by Dr Carolyn Eu at The University of Melbourne.

Tina uses many Japanese acupuncture techniques, the gentlest kind of acupuncture. It is especially suitable for sensitive patients. In this style the needles used are very fine and do not need to penetrate deeply to achieve powerful results. This means you feel more comfortable and can relax and enjoy the treatment more fully. It is especially good for needle-sensitive clients and those nervous about having acupuncture. Tina has completed a one year post graduate course in Japanese acupuncture (Manaka Protocols).

Tina has a passion for using acupuncture for pregnancy, fertility and IVF support. She also focuses on women's health, particularly cases of PCOS, menstrual problems and menopause in which she has gained valuable experience. She has worked at several fertility clinics throughout Sydney and Melbourne. She has received many referrals from midwives in local hospitals, and also through word of mouth. Tina has also had the privilege of training in IVF treatment whilst working The Acupuncture IVF Support Clinic.

Tina lives on the Northern Beaches with her husband and two young daughters. When not practicing acupuncture she enjoys the beach, yoga and cooking healthy meals.
